Two-commodity perishable inventory system with partial backlog demands.

چکیده

This article examines a two-commodity continuous review perishable inventory system. The demands are arrived at for each product by independent Markovian arrival processes (MAP). Lifetimes follow an exponential distribution. commodities assumed to be substitutable. If both have reached zero, demand is backlogged up predetermined levels. article’s novelty has been local purchase, which made clear the backlog instantaneously when reaches level. In steady-state, joint probability distribution of levels obtained. Several metrics system performance in steady-state derived and also provided as numerical examples explain optimum values system’s parameters.

A two-commodity perishable inventory system

We present a two-commodity perishable stochastic inventory system under continuous review at a service facility with a finite waiting room. The maximum storage capacity for the i–th item is fixed as Si (i = 1, 2). We assume that a demand for the i–th commodity is of unit size. The arrival instants of customers to the service station constitutes a Poisson process with parameter λ. The customer d...

Perishable Inventory System with Postponed Demands and Negative Customers

This article considers a continuous review perishable (s,S) inventory system in which the demands arrive according to a Markovian arrival process (MAP). The lifetime of items in the stock and the lead time of reorder are assumed to be independently distributed as exponential. Demands that occur during the stock-out periods either enter a pool which has capacity N(<∞) or are lost. Any demand tha...

An Inventory Model Perishable Products with Markovian Renewal Demands

In the inventory model, people usually assume that the inter-demand times are independent and identically distributed, but that may not be true in reality. This limitation motivated us to seek greater understanding of an important class of inventory models with dependent demand. In this paper we analyze an ( ) S s, continuous review perishable inventory system with a Markovian renewal demand pr...

Two-echelon Inventory System with Perishable- on-the-Shelf Items

This paper deals with an inventory system with one central warehouse and a number of identical retailers. We consider perishable-on-theshelf items; that is, all items have a fixed shelf life and start to age on their arrival at the retailers. Each retailer faces Poisson demand and employs (1, T) inventory policy. Although demand not met at a retailer is lost, the unsatisfied demand at the centr...
